Robbers loot valuables in shailkupa throat

A gang of robbers had committed robbery in a number of houses at Dulalpur village of Shailkupa upazila in Jhenidah. The crime was committed in the night of Thursday. The robbers had set a sharp knife on the throat of a child during the robbery.

Police and locals said a gang of robbers numbering 15 to 16 entered in to the house of late Shamsuddin at Dulalpur village under Tribeni union in the night of Thursday. 

When they knocked the door, one of the house owners opened the door. The miscreants kicked off on him and he fell down on the floor of the house. Then they had set sharp knife on the throat of a child and looted the valuables. Later they committed robbery in the house of Rezaul Islam.

But the miscreants faced barrier when they were trying to commit robbery in the house of some Leon in the village. As the robbers were trying to enter into the house of Leon, they informed the matter to others in the village over cell phone. 

The neighbors when moved towards the house, the miscreants left the spot immediately. Contacted Shailkupa police station officer in charge (OC) Bazlur Rahman said they had sent police men at the spot.

If any incident of robbery is happened, stern action will be taken against the miscreants. They will file case after the primary investigation, OC said.
