Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive detained a suspected robber along with arms from Dariakandi village at Bancharmpur upazila in Brahmanbaria on Thursday night.
The detainee was identified as Jewel Mia, 33, son of Farid Mia of the village.
Company commander of RAB-14, Additional Superintendent of Police Rafiuddin Mohammad Zobair and senior AD Chandan Debnath, conducted the drive.
Being tipped off, a team of RAB conducted a drive in the village and detained Jewel along with one shutter gun and one bullet at night.
The detainee has long been involved in committing robbery and arms trading, RAB said this in a press release on Friday 11 am.
