Three people were killed in separate road accidents in Magura on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Swarna Majumder, 35, wife of Milton Majumder of Thaipara village under Shalikha upazila, Sathi Majumder, 38, wife of his brother Subrata Majumder and Ahad Ali, 55, a village doctor of Kalinagar village under Lohagarh upazila of Narail.
Magura Highway Police SI Rafiqul Islam said a vegetable-loaded truck hit from behind BRAC activist Swarna Majumder and Sathi Majumder at Ramnag Thakurbari area on the way to their relatives' house.
Critically injured, they were taken to 250-bed hospital in Magura where on-duty doctor declared Swarna Majumder dead. Later, Sathi Majumder died in Kamarkhali area on the way to Dhaka for better treatment.
On the other hand, Ahad Ali, a village doctor of Kalinagar village in Lohagarh upazila of Narail, was hit by an easybike coming from the opposite direction on his way to see a patient in Rajapur area of Mohammadpur upazila.
Local peoples took Ahad Ali to the 250-bed hospital in Magura for treatment of his serious injuries, but the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
