A minor boy was killed as a locally made-auto rickshaw van ran over him at Hazrakati Bazar in Tala upazila of Satkhira on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Siam Hossain, 3, son of Shahabuddin Moral of Hazrahati village.
Tala Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mehedi Russell confirmed the incident.
Local said the accident took place when the boy came to the market with his uncle on the morning.
Critically injured, Siam was rushed him the Tala Upazila Health Complex and later referred to the Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH).
He, however, succumbed to his injuries on the way to KMCH.
