Road accidents kill two in capital

Two people were killed in two separate road accidents at Rampura and Jatrabari areas in the capital on Friday, reports BSS. The deceased were identified as Abdul Qader, 59, hailed from Badda, and Mustak, 57, a resident of Matuail Konapara area of the capital. The bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Badda Thana Rafiqul Islam said Abdul Qader was killed when a bus hit his motorcycle near Rampura Bridge around 11 am as he was going to Supreme Court. Qader was admitted to DMCH where the duty doctors declared him dead, the OC said. Police seized the bus, he added.

Besides, Mustak died when a mini truck hit him in front of Jatrabari Medical Hospital as he was crossing the road around 10 am.  He was also taken to the DMCH where he succumbed to his injuries. Dhaka Medical College Hospital police confirmed the death of the two citizens. Cases are being processed to file in this regard.
