A readymade garment worker on Saturday slipped down and was killed while he was transferring a swing machine from its 4th floor to the ground floor in Savar, on the capital’s outskirts.
The incident took place inside a readymade garment factory named Kazi Abedin Tex Ltd, located at Fulbaria area in Savar on Saturday evening.
Factory authority later taken him to Enam Medical College Hospital in critical condition where duty doctors have declared him died’, Kurban Ali, ASI of Industrial Police told Bangladesh Post.
Adding that, they yet to be confirmed how the incident happened. However, police sent the body to Shahid Suhrawardi Hospital morgue for autopsy, and the exact reason would be known after completing the investigation in this regard.
He further said preparation to take legal action in this regard was in underway.
However, this correspondent could not reach any of the factory authorities including Kazi Nazmul Abedin, the MD, despite making multiple phone calls.
