Rituparna Sengupta is over the moon. The actress is already in Italy to attend the screening of ‘Ahaa Re’, which is part of Indian Film Festival Roma.
Ahaa Re, directed by Ranjan Ghosh, was selected along with a host of other movies from the country, including ‘Kalank’, ‘Pink’, ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’, ‘Bahubali 2: The Conclusion’, ‘October’, ‘Udta Punjab’ and ‘Hindi Medium’. The festival, which is already underway, will continue till tomorrow. The eight selected films will be screened with Italian subtitles.
‘Ahaa Re’ is about two completely different persons from two different countries and religions and how they bond over their love for cooking. Rituparna is seen as someone who runs a home catering service, while Bangladeshi actor Arifin Shuvoo plays a chef who lands in Kolkata from the neighbouring country.
Excited about the festival entry, Rituparna had earlier said, “I feel truly honoured. ‘Ahaa Re’ has been given two screenings and this will be my second visit to Italy. Just a few days back, I visited Lake Como with my husband on our trip to Switzerland. I am happy with the love that ‘Ahaa Re’ has been receiving.” While Rituparna will be attending both the screenings, the actress said she will also be exploring Italy in her free time. “I will be travelling to Vatican City soon,” she added.
