Samsunahar, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Gazipur. Has said, “Some proprietors of Gazipur factories have not yet paid salary to their workers. It will be unwise to reopen the factories violating health rules. If factories reopen now, it will increase and heighten health risk.”
She said these while talking to Prime Minister at a video conference from Gazipur on Monday morning. The SP blamed the owners of factories who brought back the workers ignoring lockdown. SP Samsunnahar also said, ‘Police members are alert everywhere during this time enforcing lockdown regarding corona situation. But people are gossiping in the markets and tea stalls that is unfortunate’ she added.
She (SP) assured that they would strictly do their duties as per instruction of the Prime Minister. At that time Minister of Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Hoque, state minister for youth and sports Jahid Ahsan Rasel, Meher Afroze Chumki MP , Iqbal Husain Shabuz, Gazipur zila parishad chairman Akhteruzzaman, DC of Gazipur SM Tariqul Islam were present.
