Right to Peace (R2P) is an organization of youths which aims to build a world where all human rights are promoted and protected and development is fully realized. The name ‘’Right to Peace’’ is the representation of our motto “Freedom from Want, Freedom from Fear’’. As the motto suggests, R2P is working for building a society where peace in its truest sense will be achieved, where no child has to go to bed hungry and no women have to live a life of being oppressed.

With the dream of this just society, R2P has taken up a five-point program to bring about positive changes in the existing societal structure. These programs include research, awareness building and dialogue, capacity building and human development, advocacy and networking, and humanitarian support.

Earlier in 2020, R2P launched an awareness-raising program on dengue with the slogan, ‘Dengue Mukto Dhaka Chai’ at Dhaka City Corporation. This program had an associated intervention of clothing distribution to the marginalized people of slum dwellers. The total beneficiaries of this campaign were more than fifty slum dwellers. During the COVID-19 crisis, Right to Peace has been conducting continuous online awareness-raising campaign by using social media platforms.

The group also conducted a month-long humanitarian aid program under the heading “Ramadan Peace Campaign 2020” to stand by the lower and lower-middle-income families facing adverse effects due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

This country-wide campaign serves about 80 families in different districts of Bangladesh (Dhaka, Thakurgaon, Nilphamari, Chandpur, Narsingdi, Cumilla, Noakhali, Laxmipur, Rangpur, Gaibandha, and several other places in the country).

Again, during the Corona situation, it has carried on its online activities by open interactive online sessions like “Dialogue for peace” (participated by 71 youths) and “Online Workshop on Mental Health Awareness for Youths- A Quest for Inner Peace" (participated by about 100 youths).

R2P also celebrated a one-week online campaign on the occasion of “International peace day” where participants displayed their concept of peace, war, and harmonious society through their artworks, posters, and self-made videos of them sharing what peace meant to them.

On the account of global warming and rising environmental issues, R2P launched a “Tree Plantation Campaign” all over the country intending to create awareness on this issue among the mass people of the country.

The slogan of the campaign was “Let the world shine with a green smile”.

About 100 trees had been planted under this campaign. R2P arranged all these programs and campaigns to uphold the very spirit of this organization which is building a just society for everyone.

Till now, R2P along with Skills Pro, a skill development platform of Right to Peace (R2P), organized an online certificate course on “Mastering Academic Writing for the University Student’’, an Online Illustrator Course for Volunteers, another online Certificate course titled "Mastering Research Proposal: Analytical Thinking and Academic Writing" and also an online Essay Writing Campaign on COVID-19 Crisis, titled "Call for Essay on Covid-19 Crisis". This campaign came with the motto of "Making an intellectual contribution to the nation's fight against Covid-19.

With this advanced platform of “SkillsPro”, R2P has rendered both classroom facilities and volunteerism opportunities to the youths for developing professional knowledge and skills as well as leadership.

R2P envisions to enable the youths of this country to reduce the gap between formal degrees and employability in this country. It upholds the principle of aligning the individual’s development to social progress.
