Title contenders Dhaka Abahani Limited changed their captain in the season curtain raising Independence Cup Football tournament that began on Friday last at three venues. The Sky Blues won their first outings against Bangladesh Air Force by 2-0 goals at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium, Gopalganj on October 27.
Another astonished fact during that match was the team changed the captain suddenly. The team management took the decision, defensive midfielder Mohammad Ridoy will lead the team in the season.
