Chittagong University 39th Batch 1st Reunion Festival was held in Chittagong University Campus with various colorful events throughout the day.
The events included colorful rallies, balloon-festoons and pigeon flying, cake cutting, cultural programs etc.
On this occasion, a discussion meeting was held on Friday morning at the CU Faculty of Social Sciences auditorium. Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Shireen Akhtar inaugurated the Reunion Festival by attending the discussion meeting as the chief guest. CU Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Benu Kumar Dey was present as special guest.
CU Registrar (Acting) Professor SM Monirul Hasan, Daily Azadi Editor MA Malek and Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry President, CU Alumni Association General Secretary Mahbubul Alam were present as guests on the occasion. CU Proctor Dr. Rabiul Hasan Bhuiyan and Assistant Proctors were present on the occasion.
CU VC said alumni are the pride of the university. Not only that, they have completed their education from this university and are leaving a mark of their skills and abilities in their workplaces; The reputation of this university is shining. It is of great joy and glory. The university will benefit if CU alumni are sincerely united. Apart from the students' own career, they will also play a role in the overall development and progress of the university by keeping regular contact with the university.
CU VC cut the reunion cake with the guests and unveiled the commemorative book. On behalf of the 39th batch, the CU VC and the guests were awarded crests on the occasion.
The event was presided over by CU 39th Batch Celebration Committee Convenor Bojlur Kabir Khosru and moderated by Zobaida Sarwar Chowdhury Nipa and Dilruba Khanam. Rashed H Chowdhury, Member-Secretary of Reunion Celebration Committee, other leaders of the committee, former students and their families were present in the event.
