A farewell ceremony was held on Tuesday at Nabinagar Government Pilot High School in honour of seven retired teachers and staff members. The event took place at 11 a.m. in the school auditorium.
The chief guest was Md. Ariful Islam, Deputy Director of Secondary and Higher Education, Cumilla region. The ceremony was presided over by Rajib Chowdhury, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Chairman of the School Management Committee.
Special guests included District Education Officer Md. Zulfikar Hossain, Headteacher of Nabinagar Ichhamoyee Pilot Girls' High School Kawsar Begum, and President of Nabinagar Press Club Mohammad Hossain Shanti. The welcome speech was delivered by the school’s Headteacher Md. Abu Mosha.
In his remarks, UNO Rajib Chowdhury said, “Teachers are the architects of society. Their dedication and commitment will continue to inspire future generations.”
Chief guest Md. Ariful Islam added, “Retired teachers have made invaluable contributions by spreading the light of education. Creating honest, responsible citizens is their highest achievement.”
The event concluded with floral tributes and commemorative crests presented to the retirees, in the presence of teachers, students, and parents.
