Retired ASP dies of dengue in Narail

Retired Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sharif Mostafa Kamal (75) died of dengue fever at Lohagara in Narail on Friday (July 10). 

The deceased Mostafa Kamal's home is in Panchuria village of Lohagarh upazila. He was working in Khulna for the last time in his service life. Lohagarh Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Sharif Shahabur Rahman confirmed the matter on Monday night. 

Hospital sources said, Mostafa Kamal was admitted to Lohagara Upazila Health Complex with fever around Thursday (July 9) 9:00 pm. He died in the hospital around 10:00 am on Friday (July 10) the day after admission. He was buried at the family graveyard in Panchuria village. 

Dr. Shahabur Rahman further said that the police officer was infected with dengue and his report was dengue positive.

Civil Surgeon Dr Abdul Momen said, he was the first person to die of dengue in Narail district this year.
