Reshuffle in Cox’s Bazar police

Outgoing SP gets floral farewell

As many as 34 inspectors including Officer-In-Charge of 8 police stations in Cox's Bazar have been transferred simultaneously. The transfer order was issued by police headquarters on Thursday.

Cox's Bazar’s Ukhia Police Station OC Morzina Akhter, Ramu Police Station OC Abul Khair, Chakaria Police Station OC Habibur Rahman, Pekua Police Station OC Kamrul Azam, Maheshkhali Police Station OC Didarul Ferdous, Kutubdia Police Station OC Shafiqul Alam, Teknaf Police Station OC Samsuddoha and Cox’s Bazar Sadar Police Station OC Masum Khan were transferred.

At the same time, Cox's Bazar DB Police OC ManoshBarua and 34 other police personnel of 8 police stations of the district have been transferred at the same time.

Chittagong Range DIG Mohammad Anwar Hossain confirming the news said 34 inspectors, including the OC of 8 police stations in Cox's Bazar, have been transferred and the new police inspectors will join the posts of these officers on Friday.

Earlier on September 16, Cox's Bazar Superintendent of Police Masud Hossain was transferred to Rajshahi as Superintendent of Police in a circular signed by Deputy Secretary Dananjay Kumar Das.

Five days later, seven top police officials, including Additional Superintendent of Police and Assistant Superintendent of Police, were transferred too.

While, ABM Masud Hossain left Cox's Bazar police lines, policemen pulled his flower adorned car with a rope decorated with marigolds and took him to Kalatali bypass road on Thursday morning.  Earlier, the outgoing SP received farewell salutations and greetings at the police lines. At this time the Police Super was accompanied by his family members.

Mohammad Hasanuzzaman joined the post of Cox's Bazar Superintendent of Police on September 23. He went to his office on Thursday afternoon. Earlier, he was serving as the Superintendent of Police in Jhenaidah.
