A day-long `Research and Publication Fair’ under the auspices of the institutes of
Dhaka University (DU) concluded yesterday evening, February 11, 2024 at the premises of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of the university. Dhaka University
Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal, Vice-Chancellor, inaugurated this fair as chief guest, while Prof. Dr. Tamanna Howlader, Director of Institute of Statistical
Research and Training (ISRT) , Dhaka university was in a chair ,also Convener of the organizing committee of the fair the inaugural function was addressed by Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Samad, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Sitesh Chandra Bacharand IBA Director Prof. Mohammad A. Momen as special guests.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal thanked the organizers for holding this fair successfully and said, researches and publications of DU must be of international standard. Startup of a university is being developed through fundamental researches, publications and innovations.
As a result Industry-Academia relations would be strengthened at the university, he hoped. DU VC further said, researchers, teachers and students will be benefitted by this fair in conducting innovative researches for sustainable socio-economic development of the country. He urged them to create new knowledge, fulfill the need of the community and contribute to make the country as Smart Bangladesh under the dynamic and outstanding leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Later DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Samad, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Sitesh Chandra Bachar and guests went round the stalls of the fair.
