Due to this the side of this road is being dug up. Most of the work is done. The rest of the work will be completed in the next ten-twelve days. The road will be fixed after the water line work is completed.

Sylhet City Corporation's water department executive engineer Ali Akbar said that a project worth 18 crores Taka has been taken up to install a new water line in the city. However, various obstacles have to be faced to do these things. Many do not provide space, and many times permission from various organizations is required. There are gas lines and underground cables. Apart from this, work is stopped during the rainy season out of concern for the people. Due to this, the work is slow.

Ali Akbar also said that after the completion of the project, leakage will not happen in many places. City dwellers no longer have to worry about clean water. At the same time, the cost of road repair will also be reduced.

He said - in other countries, there is a specific place for taking utility services. From where gas, electricity, and water lines go. It can be said from that specific place where the problem is.

As a result, the road is not damaged. But we don't have that system. So if there is a problem, the road has to be dug.
