‘Relief to continue as long as flood exists’

State Minister for Information Dr. Md. Murad Hassan MP said, “Bangladesh Awami League is always by the side of flood affected people. As long as there is flood water, as long as you have trouble, we will continue to give relief. Our leaders and workers will go from house to house delivering dry and cooked food for those who can not cook and eat due to the flood water”.

He also said, “Tell me directly about any of your problems. If I am not there, call my number, tell my Awami League leaders and workers, tell my upazila administration. We and Bangladesh Awami League are always by your side in your happiness and sorrow”.

He said these to reporters at the 12th death anniversary of his father Advocate Matiar Rahman Talukder, frmer member of AL Central Executive Council, former president of Jamalpur District AL unit and District Bar Association, at Sarishabari in Jamalpur on Thursday noon. 

The death anniversary programme was observed at the initiative of Upazila AL unit through various programs throughout the day. Milad mahfil started at the party office in the morning. Later, a prayer and milad mahfil was held at Daulatpur Mosque in Aona Union, the home of the deceased. 

Visiting and paying homage to the grave of the deceased, Qur'an recitation and distribution of food among the orphans were held on the occasion. Matiar Rahman Talukder's sons High Court Justice Md Mahmud Hasan Talukder Mintu, State Minister for Information Alhaj Dr. Murad Hasan MP, Upazila AL unit President Sanowar Hossain Badsha, General Secretary Harun or Rashid and others were present at the time.
