With the implementation of Banful Foundation in Keshabpur of Jashore with the financial support of Muslim Hands International, relief materials were distributed among 1,000 families affected by Cyclone Amphan in Gaurighona Union of the upazila on Saturday.
Keshabpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nusrat Jahan distributed the relief materials as the chief guest at Gaurighona Government Primary School ground under the chairmanship of Executive Director of Banful Foundation Nurul Islam and Executive Council Member SM Masudur Rahman.
Each family was given 7 kg of rice, 1 kg of lentils, 1 liter of soybean oil, orsaline and 5 masks as relief items.
Upazila Awami League president SM Ruhul Amin, former chairman of Gaurighona Union Parishad SM Siddiqur Rahman and president of Keshabpur Upazila Press Club SR Saeed addressed the function as special guests.
