Relatives of Habiganj orphanage children given help

20 kg of rice has been distributed among the relatives of 100 students of Habiganj Islamia Orphanage as government assistance. They were given another 500 taka in cash by the orphanage authorities.

Advocate Md Abu Zahir, MP of Habiganj-3 constituency and president of district Awami League, distributed the aid at 12 noon on Wednesday. 

Mofizul Islam Tarafdar, co-president of the orphanage madrasa managing committee, Abdul Motalib Mamraj, organizing secretary and Md Abdur Rahman, finance secretary were also present. Hafeez Md. Nazmul Hasan conducted the munajat.

For the second time, the relatives of the children and teenagers living in Habiganj Islamia Orphanage have received government assistance. The Madrasa Managing Committee has also provided Tk 50,000 to the mothers of 100 fatherless students.

While distributing the aid, MP Abu Zahir said, “We are working across the country under the leadership of the Prime Minister on the coronavirus. 

However, to avoid this infection, everyone needs to be aware. Remember that if one person is infected, the whole family and the area will be at risk of death.” He urged all to abide by the government directives and self-rule in dealing with Covid-19.
