The death of retired Major Sinha Rashed, who was shot dead by police in Teknaf, Cox's Bazar, will not spoil the relationship between the police and the army in any way, said the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed BPM (Bar).
The IGP said this at a joint press conference in Cox's Bazar on Wednesday.
The Inspector General of Police said that the police and the army work together for the country. This incident will be investigated without bias.
Earlier on Wednesday, retired Major Sinha Rashed's sister Sharmin had filed a murder case in a Teknaf court. Nine policemen, including Inspector Liakat Ali and Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Teknaf Police Station Pradeep Kumar Das, have been charged in the case.
