Rehabilitation, employment prog for beggars launched at Pakundia

Rehabilitation of beggars and alternative employment programme has been launched at Pakundia upazila in Kishoreganj with the aim of building a beggar-free Bangladesh as per the desire of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. 

On the occasion, a function was organized by the upazila administration at hall room of Pakundia Upazila Parishad on Wednesday (September 23). Nur Mohammod, MP from Kishoreganj-2 (Pakundiya-Katiadi) constituency, was present at the event as the chief guest. 

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Pakundia Md. Nahid Hasan presided over the event, while Panel Chairman of Pakundiya Upazila Parishad Harun Or Rashid Juel and Woman Vice Chairman Shamsunnahar Begum were present special guests.

Nur Mohammod said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wants to see a beggar-free Bangladesh. “We want to make Pakundia as a beggar-free upazila,” he said.
