The largest fair of the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh kicks off Wednesday amid a sluggish economy at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the city.
The fair will continue till December 25.
This year’s fair will have a total of 180 stalls; 3 diamond pavilions, 7 gold sponsors pavilions, 22 co-sponsors’ pavilions, 16 stalls to display building materials and 13 financial institutions.
Rehab leaders said they are interested in eco-friendly homes to comply with the government’s new Detailed Area Plan but it will be expensive for the middle income people.
They held a press conference at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital on Sunday.
Vice President (First) of REHAB, Kamal Mahmood, Vice President (Finance) and Fair Committee Chairman Engineer Mohammad Sohail Rana gave their written statements in the press conference.
Rehab leaders said, due to the new DAP execution, the dream of housing, one of the basic needs to live in an eco-friendly way, is going beyond the reach of the middle class.
Engineer Mohammad Sohail Rana, Chairman of the Fair Committee said, this fair will play an important role in creating a bridge between Rehab members and buyers.
Tajul Islam, Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Ministry, will be present as the chief guest at the inaugural session of Rehab Fair 2022.
State Minister of Housing and Public Works Ministry, Sharif Ahmed, will be present as special guest and RAJUK Chairman Anisur Rahman Mia will be present as guest of honour.
