Registered madrasa teachers will now get transfer opportunities

Teachers at indexed madrasas are in for a big change as they are about to have access to transfer opportunities, which was previously only available to schools and colleges that the Private Teacher Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) recommended.

The Department of Madrasah Education has initiated discussions regarding transfers, culminating in a decision to grant transfer opportunities to all indexed madrasa teachers. A draft proposal outlining the transfer process will soon be forwarded to the Ministry of Education for consideration and approval.

Under the purview of the Madrasah Directorate, a dedicated software system will be established to facilitate the transfer process. Eligible teachers must have completed a minimum of two years of service following their indexing before they can apply for transfers.

Sources reveal that madrasa teachers will have three avenues for transfer: Voluntary Transfer, Transfer in Public Interest, and Mutual Transfer. While voluntary transfers will occur at specific times during the year, the latter two processes will operate without fixed timelines.

Zakir Hossain, Deputy Director (Administration) of the Madrasa Education Department and committee member overseeing the transfer of madrasa teachers, affirmed ongoing efforts to address various opinions and incorporate feedback received during the initial workshop. Additional points suggested by ministry representatives are currently being integrated into the transfer framework.
