Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BRCS) and Bidyanondo Foundation on Tuesday jointly started spraying disinfectants to designated government hospitals in Dhaka in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The BRCS started spraying disinfectants at the Directorate General of Health Services on Monday, followed by disinfecting the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
It will gradually disinfect all the government hospitals in Dhaka which will take care coronavirus patients. BRCS Vice-Chairman lawmaker Prof Md Habibe Millat was present, among others, during the spraying. The BRCS earlier deployed 1 million volunteers across Bangladesh to raise awareness prevention of coronavirus disease which the World Health Organization on March 12 declared a pandemic. As of Tuesday, Bangladesh confirmed 39 cases. Of them four died.
