Rebeka Sultana is a famous Nazrul musician. She has been given many awards and this time, Nazrul Sangeet Shilpiu Parishad awarded her with special honours.
The artiste was honoured at a programme organized by the Nazrul Sangeet Shilpi Parishad at the Music and Dance Arts Auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on October 28 at 6:30pm.
The prestigious medal was presented to the artiste by Nazrul Sangeet Parishad Vice Presidents Shahin Samad and Nasheed Kamal.
Rebecca Sultana said, “Honours or rewards are always a matter of joy. This is a special achievement for me as an artiste. Every year, the Nazrul Sangeet Parishad confers this honour to artistes. This time they have honoured me. I am very happy with it. Receiving awards or honours brings a different sense of responsibility. I will become more careful to my music and practice more of Nazrul's songs.”
Regarding her new songs, Rebeka Sultana said, “Selection of Nazrul’s songs is going for my upcoming album. After the selection phase is over, I will start working on the new album of Nazrul’s music soon.”
