Rajshahi Divisional Ethnic Minority Cultural Academy (RDEMCA) celebrated the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam on Wednesday.
To mark the day, the RDEMCA organised a discussion meeting, prize distribution and cultural function at its conference hall.
RDEMCA Executive Council Members Jogendra Nath Saren, Chittaranjan Saren and Sushen Kumar Shayam Duar and Research Officer Benjamin Tudu attended the programmes.
Highlighting the glorious life of the two famous poets, the guests distributed prizes among the winners of Rabindra sangeet and Nazrul geeti competition.
They also unanimously viewed that the present government under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is committed to protect the issues of ancestral festivals and cultural heritage of the plain ethnic minorities for their peaceful and successful livelihood.
