RDA annual confce held in Bogura

The 29th Annual Planning Conference of Bogura Rural Development Academy (RDA) was held on Wednesday morning.

Speaking as the chief guest at the programme, State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Swapan Bhattacharya said, “The Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had a dream that Bangladesh would be a democratic, secular, hunger and poverty free modern state”. 

“His daughter and current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is moving forward with a vision to transform Bangladesh into a middle-income country,”  he said. Bogra Rural Development Academy, established by Bangabandhu, has been relentlessly working for rural development in country. 

Various innovative activities of this academy, such as ensuring safe drinking water, providing bio-gas on  community basis, expanding water-efficient modern agricultural technology, waste management, bio-production and many other developmental activities, are ahead than other developed countries of the world. Spreading these activities all over the country by making the people aware, Bangladesh will be turned into a self-respecting country and a dream country of Bangabandhu, he added.

Director General of RDA presided over the programme.

Among others, Md. Habibur Rahman, MP of Dhunat Upazila r; Md. Kamal Uddin Talukder, secretary of Rural Development and Cooperative Department; Prof. Dr. Lutful Hassan, vice-chancellor of Mymensingh Agriculture University; Prof. Dr.  Nazmul Hasan Kolimullah, vice-chancellor of Begum Rokeya University,were also present.
