‘Razakar list’ to be upazila based: Liberation War Minister


Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque said he would work together with freedom fighters in villages to make Razakar list based on Upazila. He said this in a discussion with freedom fighters at Naogaon Sadar Upazila Parishad Auditorium on Thursday noon. 

He also said he was sorry and aggrieved for publishing the list provided by Ministry of Home Affairs. He admitted that he made a mistake so he withdrew the list. He promised to prepare a new Razakar list in his speech.

The Minister talked about elaborate plans for preserving the memories and history of Liberation War. He noted that 80 percent of development work in Bangladesh is made in the 19-year regime of Bangladesh Awami League. Moreover, he announced that in the next BCS exam there would be 100 marks question on the topic of Liberation War. He said these, after unveiling the plate of Freedom Fighter Complex in 11 Upazilas, under supervision of LGED worth Tk24 crore 2 lakh. He attended the event as the Chief Guest.

In the same event, Special Guest, Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder said, Freedom Fighters list should be concluded as soon as possible whereas, Razakar list should be continued. The Razakars should be humiliated before the people of the nation, he added.

Among others, Shaiduzzaman Sarkar MP, Salim Uddin Taeafdar MP were present at the event presided by Deputy Commissioner of Naogaon, Harun Ar Rashid.
