Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested an accused named Maruf Hossain, 25, on charge of raping a Class Ten student. He was arrested from Sitakunda Bazar on Saturday afternoon. The arrested youth Maruf is son of Abdul Rauf at Ali Mia Bazar of Sandwip upazila.
RAB-7 Assistant Director Mashkur Rahman said that Maruf had developed a physical relationship with student at Sandwip upazila. Her father filed a lawsuit against Maruf for raping the girl. He is the main accused in the case. He escapes after the case.
