A Chattogram court on Wednesday awarded life-term imprisonment to a mason in a case filed for raping a school girl after abducting in Banskhali upazila of the district, reports BSS.
Judge of Women Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-1 Mohammad Moshiur Rahman Khan passed the judgment convicting Mahmudur Rahman Haider of Shill Khali village of Pekua upazila of the district. The tribunal also fined him Tk 40,000, in default, to suffer more six month imprisonment.
