Police on Thursday arrested a man on charge of raping a five-year-old child in the districts’s Karimganj upazila.
Forty-five-year-old Md Ali Hossain, who hails from the upazila’s Satarpur village, was arrested from the Charsholakia Gach Bazar area of the district town.
Officer-in-Charge of Karimganj Police Station Mominul Islam confirmed the arrest to Bangladesh Post. According to police, family reported the incident day after it took place on September 6.
Following the allegation, police nabbed Hossain on Thursday. The victim underwent treatment at the Kishoreganj General Hospital.
