The biannual election of the Raozan Press Club was held on Tuesday. M Belal Uddin, correspondent of Daily Inquilab, and Nezam Uddin Rana, correspondent of Global Television and Somoyer Kagoj, were elected as the president and general secretary respectively.
Voting took place on Tuesday from 10.00am to 2.00pm at the press club office located at Jalilnagar bus station in Raozan.
Other elected members are M Ramzan Ali (Bhorer Kagoj) as Senior Vice President, Shahedur Rahman Morshed (Nayadesh), Habibur Rahman (Amader Somoy), and Jishu Sen (Info Bangla) as Vice President; Lokman Ansari (Amar Sangbad) as Joint Secretary, Shahadat Hossain Sajjad (Bangladesh Post) as Assistant Secretary, Md Abid Mahmud (Shokaler Somoy) as Organizational Secretary, Ratan Barua (Shah Amanat) as Office Secretary, Royal Dutta (Ajker Chattogram) as Publicity and Publication Secretar:.
Members of Raozan Press Club said under the management of the election committee's convener Pradip Shil and members Shafiul Alam and Kamrul Islam Babu, voters freely exercised their voting rights in a democratic process during the election.
