In Rangpur division, samples of 1,293 people were tested in 24 hours till Sunday 8 am and 556 people were newly infected with corona infection while, 16 people died in 6 districts of the division exceeding the highest one-day record. At the time period, 4 people died in Dinajpur, 7 in Thakurgaon, 1 in Gaibandha, 1 in Lalmonirhat, 1 in Kurigram and 2 in Panchagarh district. In the meantime, 146 people have recovered from the infection in the division.
With this, samples of 1 lakh 60 thousand 2 hundred and 38 people were examined in there and a total of 28 thousand 2 hundred and 48 people were found infected. Besides, a total of 567 people have died of Covid-19 infection and so far 20,688 patients have recovered in the division.
According to the Rangpur Divisional Health Directorate, 132 people in Thakurgaon, 107 in Dinajpur, 95 in Rangpur, 57 in Gaibandha, 50 in Nilphamari, 40 in Kurigram, 39 in Lalmonirhat and 36 people in Panchagarh district have been affected by corona in the last 24 hours.
The Health Director said 9,087 people were infected and 202 died in Dinajpur district till Sunday, in Rangpur district, 6,452 people were infected and 115 people died, in Thakurgaon district 3,735 people were infected and 100 died, in Gaibandha district 2,292 people were infected and 28 people died, in Nilphamari district 1,978 people were infected and 38 people died, in Kurigram district.
1,920 people were infected and 28 people died, in Lalmonirhat district 1,604 people were infected and 30 people died, in Panchagarh district 1,180 people were infected and 26 people died of corona infection in total.
