Rangpur division recorded 14.22 percent Covid-19 positivity rate as 31 fresh cases were diagnosed after testing 213 samples at two laboratories in the division on Saturday.
Health officials said the Covid-19 pandemic situation is showing an improving trend amid declining positivity rate during the last one week in the division.
Earlier, the daily Covid-19 positivity rates were 10.82 percent on Friday, 19.74 percent on Thursday, 18.58 percent on Wednesday, 22.12 percent on Tuesday, 22.48 percent on Monday and 16.74 percent on Sunday last in the division. Among the 31 new patients, three were reported positive after testing 30 samples at the Covid-19 Laboratory at Rangpur Medical College (RpMC) at the 10 percent positivity rate today. “The three new patients include two from Nilphamari and one from Gaibandha districts,” said Principal of RpMC Professor Dr. Bimal Chandra Roy.
