Rangpur division recorded one fresh Covid-19 case testing 25 new samples at the 4.00 percent positivity rate on Wednesday. Health officials said the Covid-19 pandemic situation continues improving in recent weeks in the division.
"With the diagnosis of the one fresh case, the total number of Covid-19 patients rose to 64,884 in the division," Divisional Director (Health) Dr. Abu Md. Zakirul Islam said.
The total number of recovered Covid-19 patients remained steady at 63,106 as no more patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am on Thursday.
The number of casualties also remained steady at 1,289 as no new death was reported during the period.
Meanwhile, more 12,195 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered on Wednesday raising the number of inoculated vaccines to three crore 10 lakh 28 thousand and 17 doses in the division.
"Among the total administered Covid-19 jabs, 1,36,04,849 doses were inoculated as the first doses, 1,30,21,630 as the second doses and 44,01,538 as the booster doses," Dr. Islam said.
