The ruling Awami League has completed an era of government at a stretch under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
On the occasion, rallies and special prayers were arranged in Dhaka and some other parts of the country on Thursday wishing long life and sound health of Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina and overall welfare of the people.
Like some other places, Pabna district Awami League arranged a rally and prayer ceremony on Abdul Hamid road in the district town. A huge number of leaders and activists of the party and its front bodies from several parts of the town and the district joined the rally with banners and festoons. Awami League leader Habibur Rahman Habib presided over the rally while it was addressed, among others, by AL leaders Abdul Matin Khan, Monir Uddin Manna, Kamrul Hasan Mintu, Juba League leader Ali Mortuza Bishwas Moni and Sechchhasebok League leader Ahmed Sharif Dablu
