RAKUB recovers Tk 220cr outstanding loan

Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) has realized around Taka 220 crore outstanding loan including 40 crore classified and Taka 13 core rescheduled ones from clients through arranging loan-recovery grand camp.

The bank arranged the loan recovery camps in all the 381 branches on June 25 marking the celebration of Madhumas-1426 with a view to boosting relations between the bankers and client farmers, BSS reports.

Side by side with the loan recovery the bank has also disbursed loans worth Taka 153 crore in various potential sectors, including crops, farmers’ credit, crop-sharing, green banking and dairy and spice farming through the branches on the occasion.

RAKUB Chairman Nazrul Islam and Managing Director Kazi Alamgir visited some of the branches to see for themselves the fair activities.

Expressing satisfaction over the fair activities, Kazi Alamgir said the bank has attained an ever highest profit of Taka 40.38 crore during the 2017-18 fiscal. “We are very much hopeful about upholding the profit trend in the current 2018-19 fiscal,” he added.
