RAKUB exceeds agri-loan disbursement target in Dinajpur

Dinajpur south zone of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) has exceeded the fixed agri-loan disbursement target by 4 percent under the special incentive package announced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, reports BSS.

The information was disclosed today at a views-sharing meeting of 20 Branch Managers’ of Dinajpur south zone held at Nababganj branch office of RAKUB in Nababganj upazila of Dinajpur district.

Dinajpur south zonal manager of RAKUB Md. Shariful Islam attended the meeting as the chief guest with its Nababganj branch manger Md. Nazmul Ahsan in the chair.

Dinajpur south zonal Audit Officer Roycharan Nath Dev Sharma addressed the event as the special guest.

The meeting discussed performance in achieving the set business targets of all 20 branches under the zone of the bank and future work plans to achieve the targets for the current fiscal in the wake of coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic situation.

The meeting assessed performance in increasing capital, distribution and realisation of loans, classified loans, possible classified loans, realisation of blocked loans and other action plans for achieving the set business targets during this fiscal.

The RAKUB officials laid emphasis on disbursing adequate agriculture loans to enhance crop production, boost pisciculture and animal husbandry to attain faster growth in the most prospective agriculture sector of the region.

The chief guest suggested enhancing supply of raw materials to the agro-based industries to boost manufacture of processed agri-products to increase exports and earn more foreign currency for strengthening the national economy.

He directed RAKUB branch managers to work with utmost sincerity for attaining cent percent set targets ensuring best banking services to clients for enhancing economic activities to overcome the stresses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
