Looking back into the history, once the areas of Barguna, Patuakhali were established by the Rakhine community people by settling in that region in 1784 after the fall of Rakhine kingdom and got captured by Burmese King Bodhapaya. The museum walls are colorfully painted on Rakhine people’s journey from 1784 till today. Maung Hla Sein said, “This museum will not only let the tourists to learn about our history and culture, will also help the new generation of the community to learn about their ancestors”.
