Despite the closure of businesses due to the long-term lockdown caused by the global pandemic the collection of income tax of Tax Region- Rajshahi has increased by Tk 178 crore as compared to last year.
Tax Region-Rajshahi Tax Commissioner Md. Shafiqul Islam Akand said due to everyone’s effort following the direction of the chairman of the National Board of Revenue this achievement has been successful.
In the tax year 2021-2022, the target of tax region-Rajshahi was Tk 1,150 crore. To achieve the desired target, the Tax Commissioner of Rajshahi, Md. Shafiqul Islam Akand, holding exchange meetings with concerned people to achieve the target.
He hoped that it would be possible to collect more income tax in the future under the direction of the Chairman of the National Board of Revenue.
