Rajshahi lawyer, Khulna man die after coming home without treatment in hospital

A senior lawyer of Rajshahi Judges' Court died while sitting on a chair at his room at Kumarpara area of the city on Friday morning.  

Suspecting his death caused by Coronavirus no one approached his dead body even two-hour after his death.  Later on, Quantum Foundation arranged cremation of the dead body.

The deceased lawyer was identified as Krishna Kamal Dutta, 85. Being issueless, he used to live alone at his house in Kumarpara while his wife lived at a separate place for a long time.

Krishna Kamal, a pleader at Rajshahi, Natore and Divisional Labour court had been suffering from fever and cough for the last ten-day.

He arrived from Singra of Natore to Rajshahi on Tuesday and was staying with his nephew Sweet Kumar. Sweet Kumar went outside of his house to bring breakfast and after returning he found his uncle died while sitting on the chair. None of the neighbours of Krishna Kamal showed up to the dead body and it stayed on the chair for two-hour.  

Sweet Kumar informed, on Thursday Krishna Kamal was taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where the doctors referred him to Christian Mission Hospital. The doctors at CMH sent him back home with some medication. CMH doctors further advised him to take treatment at home and there was not necessary for Corona test. 

Neighbours of Krishna Kamal informed his death news to the leaders of Hindu- Bouddha- Christian Oikkya Parishad but none of them appeared when the Quantum Foundation was contacted. 

Members of Quantum Foundation took the dead body to the local crematory and with the help of some Hindu clerics, they cremated the dead body.  

Meanwhile, a coronavirus patient of Khulna died after coming home without getting proper treatment in hospital

He is Sheikh Sohrab Hossain, 60. He died He died at his home at No 2 Zahidur Rahman Cross Road in Khulna city at 11am on Friday.

Sohrab Hossain's cousin Monirul Alam said, “Sohrab Hossain was admitted to Corona Dedicated Hospital on June 24. Several patients died there that day and we brought them home on June 25 because they did not get good treatment. He died at his home around 11am on Friday.”

He added that Sohrab used to work in Aricha area of Shibalaya upazila in Manikganj. After catching his corona symptoms there, he was brought to Khulna for examination. He received a positive report on June 23.
