Freelance photographer Himel Nabi won the best 'Agora-2020' International Photography Competition Award for his photograph entitled 'Reflection'.
This photograph of a water-fowl commonly known as Thengi/Chaga or Kadakhocha (Gallinago stenura) bird was snapped in a winter afternoon in Chorail Beel (waterbody) in Chapainawabganj in 2018.
Himel Nabi is son of Asdaullah Nasir of Bosepara area of Rajshahi city. He is working as a freelance Photographer.
Agora organises photography competition on various themes in Barcelona of Spain every year.
The subject of the competition this year was ' Reflection' that received more than 10,000 entries around the world. Out of the total entries, judges selected 50 photographs and published those online for votes.
For the final round, five photographs were selected through online votes and Himel Nabi's works emerged as the best photograph receiving the highest number of votes.
Speaking to Bangladesh Post, Himel Nabi said he started photography as a hobby and soon became addicted to it. He is extremely happy to receive the award, Nabi added.
President Rajshahi Press Club Saidur Rahman and General Secretary Aslam-Ud-Dowla, congratulated Nabi for his achievement.
