Rajkummar Rao, the acclaimed actor known for his versatile roles, has revealed his next film project, an action-packed thriller titled "Maalik." The announcement came on his 40th birthday, and the actor delighted his fans by unveiling the film’s title and official poster through a social media post.
The film "Maalik" will be directed by Pulkit, who is recognized for his work on the critically acclaimed investigative drama "Bhakshak" and the film "Dedh Bigha Zameen." The movie is being produced by Kumar Taurani under the Tips Films banner, in collaboration with Jay Shewakramani's Northern Lights Films.
This announcement comes as Rajkummar Rao is riding high on the success of his recent release, "Stree 2." The horror-comedy sequel to the 2018 blockbuster "Stree" has been a massive hit, earning over Rs 600 crore worldwide. In India alone, the film has surpassed Rs 450 crore in net collections, securing its place among Bollywood's top-grossing films of all time. The movie also features Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee.
Looking forward, Rajkummar Rao has a promising lineup of projects. In addition to "Maalik," he will star in "Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video" alongside Triptii Dimri and "Bachpan Ka Pyar" with Vaani Kapoor.
