Union Parishad secretary, computer operator and village police of Rajibpur upazila of Kurigram are living inhuman lives with their families without getting honorarium. Many of them stated that the upazila administration is not allotting the honorarium to the local government ministry employees.
According to several sources, 22 village policemen and 2 mahalladars of Char Rajibpur, Kodalkati and Mohanganj Unions of Rajibpur Upazila have been living an inhuman life with their wives and children for 14 months without receiving honorarium.
Usually, they are given honorarium of 41% from Hatbazar, 1% from Sub-Registrar and 58% from government. But the village policemen have not received their allowances for the last 14 months and repeatedly complained to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer.
Later, the Upazila Nirbahi Officer sent a letter to the Ministry of Local Government regarding their honorarium.
