The country has been experiencing continuous rainfall for last few days. Many areas have been submerged in water due to rain. However, according to the meteorological office there is a possibility of rainfall reduction across the country including Dhaka. Warning signals have also been put down from seaports.
According to the meteorological department reports on Saturday morning rain is likely to decrease while the rainy season continues. Rainfall still remains unpredictable due to possible change in weather. However, it is likely to decrease compared to the last few days.
Meteorologist Abul Kalam told Bangladesh Post that temperature may rise slightly across the country. Days in Dhaka have been forecasted to remain sunny, however, occasional rain can also fall due to the season.
Reports suggest that light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusts are likely in Barisal, Chattogram, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions in the next few days. At the same time, there may be moderate to heavy rains in some parts of the country.
Meanwhile, day and night temperatures are likely to rise across the country due to declining rainfall. Recently, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at 33.1 degrees Celsius in Tentulia. Moreover, the highest rainfall was 145 mm in Feni. The rainfall in Dhaka was 12 mm.
