Rain could help Black Caps

A rain dance might be a stretch, but the Black Caps shouldn't be overly worried by the prospect of weather marring their big Cricket World Cup match against India.

A forecast for two days of heavy rain greeted the New Zealand and India teams in Nottingham, casting doubt over the battle of the two unbeaten sides at Trent Bridge on Thursday.

The BBC forecast heavy rain throughout Tuesday and Wednesday in Nottingham, with the match day forecast improving slightly to light showers and a maximum of 15degC.

The chance of rain sits at around 40 per cent for most of Thursday, according to the BBC weather site.
