Radisson Blu conducts tree plantation drive

The management team of Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden and the hotel’s owning company, Sena Hotel Developments Limited (SHDL) recently carried out the annual tree plantation drive. 

Radisson Blu Dhaka, a five-star property, is famous for its architectural landmark and gardens consisting of different types of exotic trees and plants. With firm commitment towards the environment, the hotel has been planting different types of trees in its premises since 2006, said a press release.

As part of the ‘Think Planet Ethos’ of its Responsible Business Practices, Radisson Blu Dhaka established itself as an ecofriendly organisation in Bangladesh. Guests have long since praised the hotel for its scenic beauty, tranquility and environmental consciousness.

Managing Director of SHDL, Lt. General Sabbir Ahmed (retd.) inaugurated the drive by planting a mango tree near the pond of the hotel. Later, CEO of Sena Hotels Developments Limited, Brig. General Ridwan-Al-Mahmood (retd.), who planted a Lychee tree.

General Manager of Radisson Blu Dhaka, Mr. Alexander Haeusler, planted a Starfruit plant on the hotel premises. The other members of the management team also took part in the initiative, planting trees like Cherry Plum, Custard Apple, Gooseberry etc. 

With renewed commitment towards the sustainable environment, Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden will undertake more initiatives to establish itself as a responsible business.
