RAB seizes 25,000 Yaba pills

The members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-11) in different raids in the last two days captured three narcotics vendors including a woman along with twenty five thousand fifty pieces contraband yaba pills from Asariarchor area under Sonargaon police station in the district.

Commanding officer of RAB-11 Lieutenant Colonel Tanvir Mahmud Pasha informed the media through separate briefs.

A team of RAB-11 raided at Asariarchor area on February 9 detained two drug peddlers named Selimuddin, 34, son of Kobir Ahmed, resident of Siraj Colony under Chadgaon police station Chattogram district and a Rohingya woman Sohora Katun, 60, daughter of Golaojan, resident of Kutupalong rohingya camp under Ukhiya police station in Cox’s Bazar district. RAB recovered 21,350 pieces of yaba tablets from their possessions. In another raid at the Asarirarchor area on February 8 arrested a drug peddler named Raju, 33, son of Monir, resident of Mousa­mandra village under Louho­jang police station in Munshiganj district. 

The team members recovered 3,700 pieces of yaba tablets, some broken tablets, cash 910 taka and three cellphones set from his possessions.

Two separate criminal cases have been recorded with Sonargaon police station under the section of narcotics control act in this regard.
