RAB nabs two drug dealers in Jhenaidah

The elite force rapid action battalions (RAB) 6 in Jhenaidah have arrested two drug dealers of Faridpur from Jhenaidah on Tuesday afternoon. They were arrested with 15 kilograms of hemp, 23 bottles of contra banned Indian phensedyl syrup and a three-wheeler auto-van carrying them.  They arrested were Obaidur Rahman, 28, son of Mantu Sheikh at Chatal Senpara and Shahmim Mollah, 28, son of Hashem Mollah at Ramkhand village in Faridpur Sadar upazila. RAB 6 company commander Major Mohammad Shariful Ahsan said they were informed that two drug vendors were phensedyl syrup selling at Sadhuhati Dharmatala village, about 15 kilometres from the district town. The elite force had nabbed the duo and seized the contra banned items from their possession.

They also seized the three wheeler used for carrying the contra banned during the drive.

The arrested were handed over to- Jhenaidah Sadar police station after filing a case under narcotics control act, the RAB sources said.
