Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-11) in a raid at Shimrail area on Dhaka-Chattagram highway under Shiddhirganj police station arrested two drug peddlers along with three hundred fifty bottles of contraband Phensidyl syrup and twenty kilograms of ganja from their possessions.
RAB also seized a private car that was used for carrying narcotics. Assistant police super of RAB-11 Md. Rizwan Sayeed Ziku confirmed the information to the media.
A criminal case has been recorded with Shiddhirganj police station in this regard.
Sources claimed that RAB being informed that a private is coming from Cumilla district carrying narcotics RAB set up a temporary check post at Shimrail area under Shiddhirganj police station and searched a Dhaka bound private car recovered narcotics.
RAB arrested two drug peddlers: Sazzad Hossain, 29, son of Sirajuddin, resident of Idrakpur village under Fatulla police station and Masud Rana, 27, son of Ali Hossain of Shariatpur district.
